If your new to MAD, then you will need to be assessed by our coaching staff prior to being placed into a competition team. Register your interest by completing our Expression Of Interest form on our Teams page. Once we receive your application we will get in contact to arrange a trial date.

Training is not compulsory at MAD to be selected in a team. We do however, prioritise players who commit to trainings. Our teams are stronger than most club teams simply because we train, we have a foundational offensive and defensive system in place, plus our teams train to develop their individual skills. The Importance of Training: Player development is our primary focus. We believe skilled, smart and strong players are key if our teams are to compete at a high level. As a parent its a proud moment seeing your child play with confidence. Training & repetitions, builds confident players. Players who don't attend trainings usually fall behind during games because they don't know the plays, our defensive system and overall game plan. During the tougher closely contested games, coaches usually field the team of 5 that understand the MAD game plan and can execute. Our coaches and players also have a uniform basketball language/terminologies we use on a regular basis amongst our teams, this organises, unifies and limits confusion during games. Bankstown has competitions for boys and girls on Fridays and Saturdays. Fridays - Under 12's-14's-16's and 18's Saturdays - Under 11's-13's-15's and 17's

The total game fees for the season vary at each association competition This may include: Team Entry Fees Weekly Court Fees Bench Staff MAD Coaching Staff Additional Fees If you are not yet registered with BNSW or the Basketball Association the competition is held. Fees at each association vary. Below is an only indication of fees. Please check your respective association. $75 for an individual player BNSW fee (valid for 1 year) $30 for Basketball player registration/insurance (valid for 1 year) Note: Associations may increase their fees each season. No. We do not collect fees for playoffs only if your team qualifies. If your team qualifies for the semi-finals and/or grand finals, there will be an additional pro-rata season fee required. This fee will be calculated based on the remaining games, qualified players per team and is necessary to cover additional court and coaching costs.
